Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and operational requirements.
- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies
- Align, fit, and join parts using fixtures, tools, and power tools
- Perform soldering, welding, and other fabrication tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Use measuring tools and laser alignment tools
- Install and remove bearing seals
- Inspect completed assemblies and conduct functional tests
Competencies:
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Understanding of welding processes and blueprint reading
- Ability to read orders and follow safety procedures
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
- Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 25 to 50 pounds regularly
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of related experience and/or training
- Crane experience preferred
- Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
