Support the development and success of middle and high school students by providing essential classroom assistance as a paraprofessional in a welcoming educational setting. This contract opportunity offers a blend of 1:1 student support and general classroom roles, working side by side with dedicated educators and impacting learners’ daily experience.
Your days will be structured around school hours, offering consistent full-time employment throughout the academic year. You’ll play a vital part in fostering an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Proof of high school diploma (no additional paraprofessional certifications or higher education required)
- Previous school-based experience or related classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to provide three completed professional references, including most recent manager, before interviewing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting student growth and learning
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and daily instructional activities
- Offer individualized support for students as assigned, including 1:1 assistance
- Help facilitate small-group learning, reinforcing lesson material
- Encourage student engagement and independence while maintaining a supportive presence
- Follow educators’ guidance and school protocols for confidentiality and student safety
- Complete assigned tasks promptly and contribute to a positive classroom culture

- Ideal school hours: Middle School (7:10am–2:10pm), High School (7:30am–2:30pm), with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Contract runs the full academic year, from 1 September to 16 June
