Job Description:


We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodian to join our team at Eustace ISD Facilities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and students.


Responsibilities:


- Maintain cleanliness of all areas within the facility including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Ensure all windows and glass surfaces are kept clean and free of dust and smudges.
- Empty and clean all waste receptacles and replace liners.
- Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations as per company policies and procedures.


Skills:


- Proven experience as a custodian or similar role.
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Good physical condition and strength.


Certifications:


While not mandatory, certifications related to custodial work, such as a Building Service Worker Certificate, would be considered an asset.
