The Mental Health Technician I provides patient care and supervision under the direction of a Registered Nurse for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environmental/instrumentation, and other health care members. The Mental Health Technician I functions as a member of the therapeutic team within limits as designated by the policies and procedures of HCA Florida Capital Hospital.

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.

Other-Fingerprint Required.
