Title: Mammography Technologist

Location: Syracuse, New York

Duration: 14 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8.5-Hour Shifts
Shift Timing: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 42.5 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic breast imaging and stereotactic breast procedures in a high-quality outpatient imaging environment. The technologist will work closely with radiologists to produce accurate diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography and stereotactic breast imaging procedures

• Position patients correctly for optimal diagnostic imaging

• Explain procedures and provide patient education

• Apply proper exposure techniques to ensure image quality

• Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards

• Perform and document routine QC checks

• Enter and maintain patient information in Radiology Information Systems (RIS)

• Assist radiologists during breast imaging procedures

• Ensure compliance with mammography quality and safety standards

• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and confidentiality

• Participate in continuing education and certification requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration or eligibility

• ARRT Mammography Certification or eligibility to obtain within one year

• Minimum 1 year of progressive mammography or imaging experience

• Current CPR Certification

• Successful completion of required health clearance

• Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and patient positioning

Preferred Qualifications:

• ARRT (M) Certification

• Experience with Hologic mammography systems

• Familiarity with MQSA regulatory standards

• Strong patient communication and comfort care skills

• Experience in high-volume breast imaging centers

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced Mammography Technologist with strong breast imaging skills

• Detail-oriented and focused on image quality

• Comfortable working independently in an outpatient setting
