Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician at Holiday Inn in Hazard, Kentucky is responsible for maintaining the physical aspects of our hospitality and restaurant properties. This is a full-time, individual contributor role that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Along with a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for growth and development within the company.Responsibilities:Perform daily inspections of properties to identify any maintenance needsEffectively troubleshoot and repair any electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other mechanical issuesConduct routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, painting, and cleaningKeep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairsCommunicate with property management team regarding any potential safety hazards or maintenance concernsCoordinate and oversee any contracted maintenance workRespond promptly to guest and staff requests for maintenance assistanceEnsure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standardsKeep inventory of maintenance supplies and materials and make necessary purchases as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant settingWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other mechanical systemsAbility to troubleshoot and solve maintenance problemsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and customer service skillsPhysically able to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in outdoor conditions as neededAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededEEOC Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
