Support, collaboration, and meaningful responsibility. The Wound Ostomy and Palliative Care CNS Clinical Nurse Specialist will report to a Director of Nursing Practice and collaborate closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, service line leaders, and an interdisciplinary team of friendly nurses, advanced practice clinicians, pediatric surgeons, palliative care physicians, child life specialists, pharmacists, therapists, social workers, and chaplains. The Wound Ostomy and Palliative Care CNS Clinical Nurse Specialist will lead evidence-based consultations, optimize complex wound and ostomy management, guide palliative care symptom control and goals-of-care conversations, standardize protocols, precept and educate bedside teams, advance quality metrics, prepare for surveys and accreditations, and champion inclusive, family-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings.
