The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to perform technical functions, patient care, and other daily duties within the cardiac catheterization lab, procedure room, and associated areas, as assigned by the director or supervisor. This role involves using electrocardiography (EKG) equipment to detect heart or blood vessel issues, taking patient medical histories, and assisting physicians during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, obtain, calculate, and document data during procedures, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
• Assist in ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, ensuring cost efficiency, providing information for future needs, and actively supporting process improvement within the department.
• Explain testing procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and reduce anxiety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate’s or Technical degree.
• Diploma from a school of Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of a licensed Radiologic Technology school.
• Cath Lab experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile technique preferred.
• RT with VI or CI credential preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective interpersonal relationships and foster a positive working environment.

Licenses & Certifications

• RCIS Registry OR ARRT Licensure
• BLS
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• Basic Arrhythmia within 90 days of hire
