What You'll Do

• Perform piping design and stress analysis for nuclear and industrial facilities
• Develop and review engineering calculations and technical reports
• Conduct piping code qualification analyses to ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III requirements
• Analyze thermal, seismic, vibration, and dynamic loading conditions using tools such as AutoPIPE and ME101
• Develop specifications for piping, valves, supports, hangers, and related components
• Support plant modifications, upgrades, and design change projects
• Perform field walkdowns and verify as-built conditions when required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and innovative solutions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
• 3+ years of engineering experience in power generation, industrial facilities, nuclear, or related industries
• Experience with piping design, stress analysis, and applicable ASME codes
• Proficiency with AutoPIPE, ME101, or similar analysis software
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III standards
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills
• Nuclear experience is highly preferred, but candidates with strong industrial or power generation backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Preferred Qualifications

• PE License (or ability to obtain one)
• Experience with ANSYS, GTStrudl, Plant 3D, or other advanced analysis tools
• Prior nuclear power plant or utility experience
• Experience supporting design changes, plant modifications, and system upgrades

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
