Duties:

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work station
• Follow proper knife handling and safety procedures
• Assist with food service during peak hours

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Strong culinary skills and ability to prepare a variety of dishes
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Skills:

• Food safety knowledge and adherence to regulations
• Food preparation techniques and experience working in a kitchen environment
• Culinary skills including knife handling, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
• Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development
• Understanding of the restaurant industry and food service operations
• Willingness to assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed (e.g., dishwashing, prep work)
• Experience as a dietary aide is a plus
