CDL Class B Transport OperatorMerrell Bros., Inc. is a fast-growing family-owned business that has been in operation for over 40 years! Our Events Division is seeking applicants for a Full-time driver; Class B CDL. This is a local position in Joliet, Illinois utilizing newer equipment; all automatic; no logging. Safe driving, a positive attitude and the desire to make a good income will result in $75,000+ per year; with annual Safety Bonus opportunity! Clean driving record is mandatory.This position specializes in operation and maintenance of quad-axle dump truck. (Please check out our equipment @ Maintenance items are performed by our company mechanics.ResponsibilitiesTransport raw materialsInspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenancePlan routes and meet delivery schedulesDocument and mileage and retain fuel/toll receiptsComply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructionsReport defects, accidents or violationsRequirementsProven work experience as a truck driverHands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)Ability to drive long hours during busy seasonsExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsNo recent moving or driving violationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendationsTruck driving school diploma/certification a plusValid Class B Commercial Driver License #J-18808-Ljbffr Merrell-Bros-1
