Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control in Hershey, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this customer-facing role, you will support access awareness, share clear communication, and deliver outstanding service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
• Support daily operations by reporting hazards, equipment issues, spills, and/or policy concerns, while maintaining a visible presence and providing assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
