Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This assignment runs from June 29, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Work takes place Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, providing a balance of dedicated teaching time and valuable afternoons for personal flexibility. Note: the program observes the July 4th holiday.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Understanding of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff and families
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Experience in school-based or similar educational settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Engage students with motivating, hands-on activities in a small-group classroom setting
- Track progress and implement data-driven instructional strategies
- Collaborate with school staff, paraprofessionals, and families to support student growth
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and safe
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress according to school and program guidelines
