Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Case Management\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 21, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED Case Manager RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of ED case management experience and Epic proficiency.Details\n \n Provides RN case management for adult inpatient and ED patient populations\n ED Case Management unit within a Magnet, teaching, Level I Trauma Center\n Night shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with rotating weekends and occasional day shifts\n Patient ratio of approximately 1:20-25\n Charting is done in Epic\n No on-call responsibilities required\n May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit needs\n Variable weekend requirements\n Scheduled start days are Tuesdays\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (Oregon license required)\n BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA Traditional accepted, RQI not accepted)\n Minimum 2-3 years of ED Case Management experience required\n Inpatient medical/surgical, ED, and pediatric experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n Teaching hospital and Level I/II Trauma Center experience preferred\n Relias exam score of 85% or higher required\n Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references not accepted)\n Full work history for the last seven years required, including city, state, dates, and PTO details\n COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted\n Additional Information\n \n Coordinates admission criteria, care coordination, discharge planning, and utilizes InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines\n Applies knowledge of CMS, CPT coding, DRG, HEDIS, HIPAA, ICD-10 coding, NCQA, OSHA, and Joint Commission/National Safety Goals in daily practice\n Assignment provides holiday coverage with no additional RTO offered outside of holidays\n RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot exceed 2 weeks; any additional time off is added to the end of the assignment\n Scrubs may be any color except prints, and are provided by the facility\n Daily parking pass costs $16, valid 8am-5pm; public transportation is encouraged\n First-time travelers are accepted for this position\n Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction\n Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must have a completed reference from their OHSU manager and must have been gone at least 6 months to be eligible to return\n May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation\n Background checks are comprehensive and lifetime in scope; no background or license issues will be accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-751983.
