Job Overview A law firm seeks a corporate associate with 4-6 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on U.S. and cross-border M&A transactions, ideal for a professional comfortable overseeing matters with limited supervision and working directly with partners, senior associates, and clients. Duties Represent clients in complex corporate matters, including private equity M&A and mid‑market M&A. Engage in venture financings, securities, and general corporate governance. Draft and negotiate transaction documents with precision and clarity. Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication. Requirements 4-6 years of relevant experience in corporate law. Strong drafting and communication skills. Business development aptitude and excellent interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and exceptional work ethic. Education J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school. Certifications Active member in good standing of the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Skills Experience with private equity M&A and mid‑market M&A.
