Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Location

Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care including medication administration and patient care management
• Deliver post-operative patient care for surgical and bariatric patients
• Support oncology patient care within a general Med Surg unit setting
• Perform remote telemetry monitoring in coordination with a monitor technician
• May float to a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit as needed
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, with a surge plan of up to 1:7

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in post-operative surgical or bariatric patient care
• Familiarity with oncology patient populations
• Experience working in a high-volume inpatient unit
