Maintenance Technician

JET Food Stores of Georgia is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our growing business. Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician Provide support outside normal working hours, if necessary, and provide weekend support on rotation with fellow Maintenance Technicians. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safe work practices. Ensure assigned tasks are completed efficiently, cost effectively and in a timely manner. Conduct repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance of fuel oil dispensers and related fueling equipment. Conduct repairs and maintenance of food service equipment. Conduct repairs and maintenance of structural systems such as roofs, walls, doors, ceilings, etc. Support the setup and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and conduct repairs when necessary. Qualifications for Maintenance Technician Possess a valid State driver’s license and a clean driving record. High school diploma or equivalent and a Certificate in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration Technology or equivalent credentials. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Minimum 5 years of experience as an HVAC/R technician or in a related field. EPA Certification in accordance with 40 CFR Part 82. Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds. A strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods. Experience operating a variety of equipment, including man lift, dump trailer, pump trailer, and small hand tools. A strong working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and metering devices. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
