Status: Part-Time
Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per month; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $120-130/hr (based on experience) + bonus

Position Summary \n

We are seeking a Part-Time Physician to join our team in Glendale, AZ . This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

Youll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied , with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
\n
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
\n
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
\n
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
\n
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
\n
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
\n
• Code and bill services appropriately
\n
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
\n
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
\n

Required Qualifications \n

\n
• Active, unrestricted AZ license for MD/DO
\n
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
\n
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
\n
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
\n
• Active BLS certification
\n
• EHR proficiency
\n
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
\n
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
\n

Preferred Qualifications \n

\n
• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
\n
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
\n
• Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
\n
