In this role, the Forklift Operator safely operates forklifts and material-handling equipment while supporting daily production needs. Responsibilities would include performing inventory tasks, loading and receiving materials, moving products in and out of racking, completing Hazmat-compliant documentation, and using the plant's warehouse management system/RFID. The operator also performs packing and quality checks, hand-stacks pallets as needed, maintains a clean and safe work area, and follows all GMPs, SOPs, safety standards and plant policies, along with any other duties assigned.This is a 1st shift position, with shift hours being Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed. The pay for this role is $21.63 per hour.What You'll DoPerform any of the following activities at various levels of speed as directed by the Team Leader:Safely Operate Forklift and material handling equipment.Perform inventory functions including but not exclusive to: Cycle counts, physical inventory, product checks.Load and receive materials from trailers.Load, store, move materials in and out of rackingPerform loading documentation process in accordance with Hazmat rulesOperate and use plant's warehouse management system/RFIDPerform packing/quality checks and documentation as requiredHand stack palletized product as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facilityBe responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer's shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, there is a responsibility to check with the Team Leader before packing questionable product.Be responsible for safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area. Help to clean and report any unsafe conditions to your Team Leader or Supervisor.Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location.Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products.Other related duties as assigned.What You'll BringHigh School Diploma or GED required2 or more years of forklift experience is highly preferredMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishAble to visually concentrate, remain alert, and listen intensely for extended periods of timeAble to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach and climb consistently for twelve hoursAble to grasp and manipulate a variety of packaging components (i.e. sprayers, bottles, caps)Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulationsMust be able to lift 45lbs. from floor occasionallyMust be able to safely operate the forklift around co-workers, other forklifts, and mechanical and electrical equipment for up to 12 hoursWorking in non-temperature-controlled environment, including high temperatures and humidity for extended periods of timeMust be able to work overtime where necessaryWhat You Will GetKIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
