Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience, multiple certifications, and an active CO or Compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, STABLE, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience required
• 1 year of ED or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required
• Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and decisive judgment skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans using the nursing process
• Performs triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation in compliance with established guidelines
• Collaborates with the healthcare team using evidence-based practices to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, and referrals
• Provides patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and condition
• May precept student nurses and new hires
• Must practice in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics and the Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
