Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian to join its established small animal team. Caring for dogs and cats, the hospital has proudly served the San Antonio community since 1948, providing compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian ready to lead while delivering high-quality medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As the Lead Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical care across wellness, preventive medicine, diagnostics, advanced care, surgery, urgent care, and walk-in appointments while leading patient care and supporting a collaborative clinical environment. You will build lasting relationships with clients, diagnose and treat medical conditions, educate pet owners on treatment plans, and work closely with the veterinary and support teams to maintain the highest standards of care. The role offers a varied surgical caseload, including spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, CCL repair, TPLO surgery, mass removal, laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery, orthopedic surgery, dental surgery, and anesthesia. You will also manage cases involving internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, endocrinology, behaviour therapy, and blood transfusions.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is committed to continuing education and provides the latest technological advances in veterinary medicine to support high-quality patient care. Services include wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, urgent care, pet boarding, and pet grooming. The hospital offers a comprehensive small animal caseload in a stable, supportive environment focused on professional growth and compassionate care.
