Certified Counselor

Description Compassionate Certified Substance Use Counselor Needed! Position Overview The Substance Use Counselor will be in charge of assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid use. The Counselor conducts individual and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. The Counselor will evaluate patient progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to help patients achieve improved outcomes. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment. Complete Bio‑psychosocial assessment. Facilitate, establish, and review the initial treatment plan with each patient. Develop aftercare and discharge plans. Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients. Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor. Qualifications Certified Counselor in the State of California. Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non‑judgmental, accepting attitude toward the patient population. Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Salary Range Salary ranges from $27.51 to $29.51 an hour. The hourly wage will be set based on experience, education, specialty, and training.
