What You'll Do
As a Claims Adjuster, you'll play a key role in helping customers get back on the road by reviewing repair information and making fair, accurate claim decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and adjudicate automotive claims according to contract terms and company guidelines
- Analyze repair estimates, inspection reports, and supporting documentation
- Verify labor times, labor rates, and parts pricing using industry-standard guides
- Communicate with repair facilities, dealerships, customers, and vendors to gather information and resolve questions
- Determine coverage eligibility and authorize repairs using sound judgment and technical expertise
- Document all claim activity accurately within the claims administration system
- Manage daily claim volume while maintaining quality and productivity standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service through professional phone and email communication
- Collaborate with fellow claims professionals to ensure a positive customer experience
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Support department initiatives and special projects as assigned
Required Education and Skills include:
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or College Degree is a plus.
- Preferred 3 or more years of hands-on automotive repair or equivalent automotive technical experience.
- ASE or equivalent Manufacturer certification preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient use of current computer systems, Microsoft and web-based applications.
- Proficient use of communication tools for email, instant message and meeting platforms.
- Possess strong customer service skills including conflict avoidance/resolution, negotiation, and persuasive speaking.
- Possess problem solving, decisiveness and time management skills.
