Maintenance CustodianReporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Custodian provides general maintenance for the NY office which includes: general housekeeping functions, set up of conference rooms, moving and fixing furniture, light carpentry work and minor mechanical repairs.ResponsibilitiesOffice maintenance consisting of: moving furniture and boxes, basic office repairs, ensuring offices are thoroughly cleaned and ready for the occupantGeneral office housekeeping to include: cleaning glass doors, changing light bulbs, cleaning coffee pantries and refrigerators, vacuuming rugs, discarding trash and recyclable materials, cleaning and preparing conference rooms before and after meetingsMinor repairs such as: file cabinet lacks and light carpentry for furniture repairsOther responsibilities as they are assigned from time to timeQualificationsA High School degree or equivalency requiredPrefer a minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping or maintenance function in a corporate or professional services environmentMust be able to lift up to 25lbs waist high and stand on feet most of the dayMust be able to follow instructions regarding safe work practices such as proper lifting techniques and wearing steel-toed footwearMust be available and flexible to work overtime as neededMust have good customer service skills, be a team-player, communicate with others, be reliable and take initiativeMust be flexible and available for overtime on an as needed basis
