Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:00 - 18:30) Experience: 2 years of experience as a RRT with critical care experience License: Valid Respiratory Care License Certifications: Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Associate degree in Applied Science or an equivalent in Respiratory Care - Knowledge of analyzing and prioritizing patient needs - Ability to assess, recommend, implement, and modify respiratory care procedures - Experience in initiating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and weaning patients from respiratory equipment

Description: This position involves working in a 24/7 department with responsibilities throughout the facility. The focus is primarily on adult care areas. The role requires interaction with medical staff, nursing, and other allied health practitioners, as well as patients and their families. Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs efficiently and effectively. The therapist must assess and modify respiratory care procedures according to protocols or physician orders. Experience with mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, and medical gas therapy is essential. Candidates must complete all required clinical and didactic competencies annually. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role also involves educating staff, physicians, and patients about disease processes, treatments, and medications. Floating to other units based on skills and census may be required. Candidates should be comfortable with potential floating assignments without restrictions.
