Senior Transformation Program Director (Towson)
Intellectt Inc
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transformation Program Director to lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives across the organization. This individual will bring together engineering, legal, finance, operations, and executive leadership to establish alignment, drive execution, resolve complex issues, and ensure successful delivery of strategic transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have 15–18+ years of experience managing complex enterprise programs, transformations, or strategic initiatives and will be comfortable operating at both executive and operational levels while influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
Key Skills
- Lead large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation programs from strategy through execution and successful completion; establish program vision, objectives, milestones, governance, timelines, success metrics, and measurable outcomes.
- Translate executive strategy into actionable programs and workstreams while managing multiple complex workstreams and dependencies simultaneously; identify risks, roadblocks, resource constraints, and interdependencies and drive timely resolution.
- Serve as the central point of coordination across engineering, legal, finance, operations, business leadership, and executive management; build alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities and facilitate executive-level discussions and critical decisions.
- Establish clear ownership, accountability, communication, and stakeholder expectations across all workstreams; ensure transparency throughout the transformation and proactively manage stakeholder relationships.
- Partner with engineering and technical teams to understand technical dependencies, architecture, delivery requirements, and implementation risks; incorporate business and technical considerations into major program decisions.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on contractual, regulatory, intellectual property, and risk considerations, and work with finance teams on budgets, business cases, financial models, investment decisions, and ROI.
- Partner with senior management to establish priorities, make strategic decisions, and communicate program progress; ensure business, technical, financial, and legal considerations are incorporated into major program decisions.
- Establish and manage transformation governance structures, steering committees, and executive reviews; develop executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations covering progress, risks, financial performance, and key decisions required.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical issues and provide leadership with clear recommendations and options; track program KPIs, milestones, budgets, benefits realization, and overall business outcomes.
- Establish comprehensive program risk-management processes, identify potential risks early, and develop mitigation and contingency strategies; drive resolution of complex cross-functional issues that cannot be resolved at the workstream level.
- Challenge assumptions and ensure critical decisions are supported by appropriate data and analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 15–18+ years of professional experience, with significant experience leading large-scale transformation or enterprise programs, including complex, multi-functional transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience working with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams, with demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct reporting authority across engineering/technology, legal, finance, operations, and executive management.
- Strong program governance, risk management, financial management, strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with experience managing budgets, timelines, dependencies, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills; Bachelor’s degree required, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Additional Skills
- Experience leading enterprise transformation, digital transformation, technology modernization, M&A integration, organizational transformation, or major strategic initiatives.
- Experience working in complex or highly matrixed organizations and presenting to C-level executives and board-level stakeholders.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or other program/transformation certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of technology and engineering organizations without necessarily being a hands-on technical resource.
