Overview Delivery Driver (1544) 534 Westport Road, Kansas City, MO Responsibilities Full-time position with duties including operation of equipment; stock and rotate ingredients from delivery to storage/work area/walk-in cooler; prepare products; receive and process telephone and internet orders; count inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. Customer service involves the ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers over the phone and in person. Pizza delivery skills involve safely driving own vehicle, navigating roads/maps, and delivering to sites with varying terrain, including stairs while carrying products. Essential skills include arithmetic to make correct monetary change (may use calculator). General Information General Physical Demands involve standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders/stairs, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, grasping tools/equipment, and tolerating varying temperatures/conditions inside and outside. Physical Requirements include standing and walking; typical work surfaces and height ranges (36" to 48"). Delivery personnel must travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations; paperwork is typically completed in an office setting. Specific Physical Tasks Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on tiled floors with occasional variation in work surface heights. Walking: Travel between store, vehicle, and customer locations. Lifting: Deliveries may include cases up to 50 pounds; items may be lifted from floor to shelves up to 72" high. Carrying: Carrying of various items including cans, sauce, and trays; pizzas and beverages during delivery. Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies; push/pull ranges up to several pounds of force. Climbing: Infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders for price changes or maintenance; deliveries may require five or more flights of stairs. Reaching: Reaching above 72" occasionally; reaching to scoop ingredients and clean surfaces. Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area; multiple deliveries per shift possible. Tools & Equipment: Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel. Safety & Qualifications Driving: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards; access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
