Through detailed reviews and audits of approved, denied, opened, and closed accounts and loans, you'll help ensure compliance with policies and procedures while identifying opportunities for improvement and mitigating risk.What You'll Be DoingIn this role, you'll systematically review approved, denied, opened, and closed accounts and loans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures. You'll audit documentation, review loan records, and verify the appropriateness of rates, terms, pledges, payment structures, and posting accuracy.You'll research discrepancies by collaborating with lenders and operational teams, perform spot re-verification of employment, income, down payments, member eligibility, and vehicle values, and ensure ancillary products such as life insurance, disability insurance, GAP coverage, and warranties have been properly coded or added to loan balances when applicable.You'll also verify insurance coverage on financed vehicles, conduct follow-up reviews on identified discrepancies, and prepare meaningful reports for leadership regarding findings and trends. In situations involving potential fraud, you'll promptly notify appropriate FCCU officials. While this role focuses on quality assurance and auditing functions, it does not include loan processing responsibilities.Throughout your work, you'll maintain a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and professional judgment while helping First Commerce maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.What You Bring to the TableHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferredSignificant financial services, banking, credit union, consumer lending, or commercial lending experience may substitute for a degree1–2 years of consumer lending or transaction experience requiredKnowledge of consumer lending practices and loan and deposit policies and proceduresPrevious experience auditing, reviewing, or evaluating work against established standards preferredStrong analytical and investigative skillsExcellent written communication and reporting abilitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to identify discrepancies and follow through on corrective actionsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple departmentsWhy First Commerce?We're a full-service, member-owned credit union with deep roots in the community and a bold vision for the future.
