Valley Grande Institute for Academic Studies (VGI) is seeking a motivated, student-focused, and energetic Enrollment Specialist to join our Admissions team. This position is responsible for guiding prospective students through the enrollment process while also supporting outreach, recruitment, and institutional engagement initiatives that promote student success and enrollment growth.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, outgoing, and passionate about helping students begin their educational journey in healthcare and allied health education.

** Position Overview **

The Enrollment Specialist serves as a key point of contact for prospective students by assisting with admissions processes, enrollment documentation, student onboarding, and recruitment activities. This role also supports community outreach efforts, campus events, and institutional partnerships that enhance VGI’s visibility and mission within the community.

Responsibilities

** Enrollment & Admissions Support **

  • Process and submit student applications accurately and efficiently
  • Guide prospective students through all enrollment requirements and admissions documentation
  • Maintain accurate student and lead records within the student information system
  • Conduct follow-up communication regarding missing documentation and enrollment completion
  • Schedule appointments and provide prospective students with program information
  • Monitor enrollment activity and communicate updates to appropriate departments
  • Ensure all admissions and enrollment activities comply with ABHES, Texas Workforce Commission, and institutional policies

** Recruitment & Outreach **

  • Assist with recruitment and outreach initiatives to increase program awareness and generate qualified student leads
  • Represent VGI at community events, career fairs, high schools, workforce agencies, and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing to support enrollment campaigns and promotional activities
  • Conduct campus tours and assist with community partnership development
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication that reflects VGI’s mission and values

** Event & Student Engagement Support **

  • Support orientations, enrollment events, open houses, graduations, and institutional activities
  • Assist with coordinating event logistics, scheduling, and student participation
  • Help create a welcoming, student-centered environment focused on professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid, Academics, Career Services, and Student Services to ensure a seamless onboarding experience

** Qualifications **

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, outreach, customer service, marketing, or student services preferred
  • Experience in vocational, allied health, or proprietary education preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Strong communication, networking, customer service, and telephone skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, spreadsheets, and administrative systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

** Additional Requirements **

  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends when needed
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to off-site events and recruitment activities
  • Professional appearance and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
