Project Manager

Hahnville, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Estimator to estimate, coordinate, and manage prospective and awarded civil construction projects. This position will work from the Hahnville office and/or project field offices. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties

• Review and evaluate requests for estimates.
• Estimate and manage civil construction projects involving concrete, carpentry, underground piping, structural steel, and interior remodeling.
• Interpret industry plans, specifications, and technical requirements to identify appropriate materials, equipment, and grades.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct periodic site visits to monitor ongoing projects.
• Review project specifications, contract terms, and requirements.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts.
• Document, track, and manage change orders effectively.
• Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
• Develop clear, detailed project scopes to meet customer needs and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct pre-job meetings with supervisors to review work scope, sequencing, special requirements, and safety procedures.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, and schedule adherence.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized estimating and project files.
• Adhere to and enforce all applicable safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Perform occasional evening, weekend, or out-of-town travel as required.
• Complete required plant orientations and training as necessary.

Requirements/Skills

• Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience, knowledge, and related education.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred but not required.
• Experience estimating and managing civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and contract requirements.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must possess a valid TWIC card.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment DISA drug screen, physical examination, and background check.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and structures.
• Ability to work at above-grade and below-grade elevations.
• Ability to adapt to outdoor temperatures and varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to perform computer-based work for estimating, project management, and documentation.
