**Your future role at a glance** + **Location:** Chicago, IL + **Facility:** Ascension Saint Joseph + **Department:** ICU + **Schedule:** Day shift | Part-time **How you'll make an impact in this role** + Deliver compassionate, specialized critical care by designing, implementing, and continually reassessing personalized patient care plans for critically ill individuals. + Serve as the central hub of interdisciplinary care, seamlessly coordinating with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure cohesive, round-the-clock treatment. + Maintain rigorous oversight of patient vital signs and complex physical conditions, executing medical orders precisely while rapidly communicating updates to the care team. + Proactively lead holistic discharge planning efforts alongside patients, families, and healthcare team members to support a safe, seamless transition beyond the ICU. **What minimum requirements you'll need** **Licensure / Certification / Registration** + Required Credential(s): + Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + One or more of the following: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Preferred Credential(s): + Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. **Education** + Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
