We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team and contribute to the well-being and communication development of the students we serve. Position Overview: As an Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Under the guidance and supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, your work will directly contribute to the success and well-being of students in the school environment. Requirements: Texas State SLPA licensure Recent Texas public school experience as an SLPA for over 6 months Additional Details: Katy ISD is looking to support 3 elementary schools. TX State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA. Willing to provide supervision hours for licensing if needed Previous experience as an SLPA in private practice or a pediatric setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to assist in managing caseload and documentation. Dedication to providing culturally competent and student-centered care. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Licensed SLP and SLPA will: Provide speech and language therapy interventions, exercises, and activities to support the client's communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills. Support the implementation of treatment plans and carryover of therapy goals Assist in monitoring and documenting the client's progress, communicating findings to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Work with individual students to reinforce therapy techniques and activities.
