The Senior Legal Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic legal guidance across commercial contracting, compliance, corporate matters, privacy, and operational initiatives while supporting the organization's continued growth.Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Counsel:Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, consulting, confidentiality, and partnership contracts.Partner with Business Development, Clinical Operations, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks.Provide legal counsel on commercial, employment, privacy, compliance, and corporate matters while balancing business objectives and risk management.Support regulatory matters, employment issues, disputes, investigations, and strategic business initiatives, including acquisitions and due diligence activities.Collaborate with global legal teams to enhance compliance programs, legal frameworks, and operational efficiencies.Requirements of the Senior Legal Counsel:Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to practice law in a relevant U.S. jurisdiction.12+ years of legal experience in private practice, in-house counsel, or a combination of both.Prior experience in life sciences, CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or clinical research environments.Strong background in complex commercial contracting, contract negotiation, and risk management.Experience supporting multinational organizations and cross-border business operations.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities with a practical, business-focused approach.Compensation for the Senior Legal Counsel:Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.Keywords:Senior Legal Counsel, In-House Counsel, Clinical Research, CRO, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Commercial Contracts, Contract Negotiation, Corporate Law, Employment Law, Privacy, Data Protection, Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Affairs, Mergers & Acquisitions, Due Diligence, Legal Operations, Healthcare, Cross-Border Transactions, Raleigh NC, HybridThis job opens for applications on 9/4/2026.
