Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides support to the Facilities and Maintenance team by assisting with general building maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and upkeep across multiple areas of the facility. This role may require working both inside and outside the building, including in inclement weather as needed.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful, safety-focused, and comfortable handling a variety of maintenance tasks while supporting daily facility operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance tasks as directed by management.
• Support third-party professionals and vendors with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
• Assist with maintenance needs across multiple buildings and facility areas.
• Diagnose basic problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform basic plumbing maintenance and carpentry tasks as directed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and properly.
• Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
• Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, leadership, and other business partners.
• Manage multiple tasks while supporting day-to-day facility and maintenance needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school experience preferred.
• Prior facilities maintenance, building maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• High energy level and comfortable working in a hands-on maintenance environment.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Must be comfortable working both inside and outside the building, including in inclement weather as needed.
• This is an active role that may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to communicate and respond to workplace instructions and safety cues.
• The noise level in the work environment may vary based on facility and maintenance activity.
