Speech Language Pathologist

Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing services in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide direct therapy to support functional communication and safe swallowing Document assessments, goals, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/OT, and case managers on care plans Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards Contribute to quality improvement and clinical education initiatives Required Skills Speech and language assessment Swallowing (dysphagia) evaluation and management Cognitive-communication rehabilitation Treatment planning and goal setting Use of standardized assessment tools Clinical documentation in EMR systems Interdisciplinary care coordination Patient and family education Neurogenic communication disorder management (e.g., aphasia, dysarthria) Voice and motor speech therapy techniques #J-18808-Ljbffr
