Regional QA/QC Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Miami, FL (Biscayne Office)

Salary: $150k-$200K base, depending on experience

Local Candidates Required: Must currently reside in South Florida and be able to work with the company’s Miami / Key Biscayne office while supporting projects throughout the region.

AppleOne has been asked by a highly respected national commercial general contractor to identify an experienced Regional Quality Control Manager for its South Florida team.

Position Overview

The Quality Control Manager will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s quality management program throughout the region, working closely with the Miami / Key Biscayne office, regional operations leadership, and national quality leadership.

This individual will help integrate quality into every phase of the project lifecycle—from preconstruction and buyout through construction, closeout, and warranty. The position requires strong commercial construction knowledge and the ability to influence, coach, and support Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, project-based Quality Managers, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Program Leadership

• Champion the company’s quality management program across regional construction projects.
\n
• Partner with operations leadership to incorporate quality standards into planning, field execution, and project turnover.
\n
• Represent quality in regional leadership meetings and project planning discussions.
\n
• Align regional quality practices with national standards, goals, and initiatives.
\n
• Serve as the first point of escalation for regional quality concerns, involving national quality leadership when appropriate.
\n

Project Planning and Quality Implementation

\n
• Support preconstruction, buyout, and early-phase planning to identify quality risks and establish preventive measures.
\n
• Oversee consistent implementation of project quality plans, definable features of work logs, inspection and testing plans, and Procore-based workflows.
\n
• Lead risk assessments for high-value, complex, or high-risk scopes of work.
\n
• Conduct periodic project audits and assess subcontractor compliance with quality requirements.
\n
• Help project teams investigate deficiencies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
\n
• Support quality requirements through closeout, turnover, and warranty.
\n

Coaching, Training, and Team Support

\n
• Mentor Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Quality Managers on construction quality best practices.
\n
• Deliver training and onboarding on quality standards, procedures, documentation, and workflows.
\n
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and accountability to project-based Quality Managers through a dotted-line leadership relationship.
\n
• Conduct regular check-ins, provide constructive feedback, and escalate systemic issues when necessary.
\n
• Support career development and succession planning for quality professionals.
\n
• Partner with regional operations leaders to assess project workloads and recommend appropriate quality staffing and coverage.

Continuous Improvement

\n
• Collect and validate regional QA/QC performance metrics and provide actionable findings to national leadership.
\n
• Lead lessons-learned discussions and help teams apply improvements across future projects.
\n
• Identify recurring deficiencies, process gaps, and training needs.
\n
• Recommend improvements to quality standards, tools, and training programs.
\n
• Promote consistent execution of company quality plans and subcontractor quality requirements.
\n

Stakeholder Collaboration

\n
• Collaborate with owners, designers, trade partners, and internal risk management teams to resolve quality concerns and reinforce expectations.
\n
• Build strong working relationships across project teams, operations, and senior leadership.
\n
• Support business development efforts, project pursuits, and client presentations by communicating the company’s quality approach and capabilities.
\n
• Encourage collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the region.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 8+ years of construction management experience with demonstrated quality leadership.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience .
\n
• Demonstrated success leading project quality efforts or regional quality programs.
\n
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, construction sequencing, and all trades and phases of construction.
\n
• Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control practices, inspections, testing, documentation, and corrective action planning.
\n
• Ability to identify construction quality risks and implement practical preventive measures.
\n
• Familiarity with Procore-based quality workflows and project documentation.
\n
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and coach teams across multiple projects.
\n
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
\n
• Understanding of construction risk management and regional legal trends affecting quality and project delivery.
\n
• LEAN Construction experience preferred.
\n
• Must currently reside in South Florida and be able to work with the Miami / Biscayne office and support projects throughout the region.

Relevant Candidate Backgrounds

Candidates may currently hold titles such as Quality Control Manager, QA/QC Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Senior Quality Manager, or Regional Quality Manager .

Experienced General Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, and Construction Operations Managers with demonstrated responsibility for quality programs, inspections, team training, risk prevention, and corrective actions are also encouraged to apply.
