Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through the interpretation of imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to devise and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide essential support during surgeries, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and passing instruments under duress
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focusing on surgical care is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Current, unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of surgical protocols and sterile techniques
