Nurse Practitioner-Neurology: Epilepsy/EEG

Advanced Practice Provider - Neurology (Epilepsy) Banner – University Medical Group | Phoenix, AZ Position Overview Banner – University Medical Group is seeking a full‑time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Neurology‑Epilepsy team in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This APP will collaborate with epileptologists, neurosurgeons, and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive epilepsy care, including managing patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and outpatient clinics. Key Responsibilities Conduct neurological exams, evaluate seizure disorders, and develop treatment plans. Manage inpatient EMU admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning. Provide outpatient follow‑up care, medication management, and patient education. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and assist in coordinating advanced epilepsy treatments. Maintain thorough documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited NP program with national certification. Eligible for Arizona licensure with prescriptive authority and DEA registration. BLS certification (ACLS preferred). Preferred Experience in neurology, epilepsy, or EEG interpretation.
