We are seeking the perfect candidate to join our team! You will be responsible for the Welcome Desk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list is not all-inclusive and is just a basic overview of the duties and responsibilities of a Dog Lodge Kennel Tech.
- Work the Welcome Desk - check-ins, check-outs, scheduling appointments, payments
- Handle pets
- Provide excellent customer service
- Calm anxious pets
- Keep the Dog Lodge in tip top shape
- Assist kennel staff
- Assist grooming staff
- Effectively communicate with grooming and kennel staff, management, clients
- Available to work weekend and holidays
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Previous professional experience working with animals preferred (daycare, shelter, vet, groomer, boarding, etc.)
Skills and Abilities of a successful Dog Lodge member
- Attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Bright self-starter who can work independently and make common sense decisions
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Computer, phone, and typing skills
- Feel comfortable in a large group of dogs
- Quick reaction time in unpredictable situations
- Comfortable working in a loud and fast paced environment
- Team player
