Project Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a Project Finance Analyst to support financial modeling, transaction execution, investor due diligence, and strategic financial analysis. This hybrid position offers significant exposure to project development, construction financing, tax equity, and asset management. The ideal candidate brings strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of valuation and financial statements, and experience within project finance, investment banking, corporate finance, or financial analysis.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain reusable excel-based project financing models
• Build detailed project-level models incorporating construction and term debt, tax equity structures, depreciation, and distribution waterfalls
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses involving energy production, merchant pricing, capital expenditures, and interest rates
• Evaluate project profitability, investment returns, and potential downside scenarios
• Provide timely financial analysis to support planning and business decisions
• Support the structuring and execution of project finance and corporate transactions
• Prepare lender and investor presentations, financing comparisons, term sheet analyses, and negotiation materials
• Coordinate due diligence activities with lenders, investors, legal counsel, and independent engineers
• Manage data-room materials and track diligence requirements through closing
• Assist with financial closings, including funds flow, closing-condition tracking, and post-closing reporting

Skills

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, corporate finance, or financial analysis
• Renewable energy or infrastructure experience preferred
• Extensive financial modeling experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of financial statements, finance, and valuation concepts
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to solve complex financial and business problems in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
