Details 22-bed Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift, 3x12 hours (1900-0730) Every other weekend required Every other holiday required No call requirements May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on volume/census Uses Cerner Powerchart for charting Requirements Active MI RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS CPI certification preferred Cerner charting experience required Experience with cardiac and neuro/psych patient populations preferred Skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and use of rapid response/code teams Additional Information Provide intermediate/stepdown level nursing care to patients requiring closer monitoring than a standard medical-surgical unit Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration responsibilities Care for patients with respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management Support neuro/psych patients including CVA, seizure disorders, and post-neurosurgical care First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days; if RTO falls during a holiday period, must be willing to work at least one of the three holidays Previous employees must have been separated for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-749675.
