Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIH, MOAB Must-Have: - Minimum experience of 2 years in the Emergency Room - Required skills: IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation - Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS required Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could result in a cancellation. The unit will accept contracts of 20 weeks up to February 27, 2027. Required skills include IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation. Certifications required are TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS. Preferred skills include ENPC and trauma experience. Patient ratios for non-critical cases are 3:1. During call-outs, ratios may reach 4:1. Critical patients require a 2:1 ratio. Boarders in the Emergency Department are 5:1. Shifts are 12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekends are required every other week. The patient population consists of adults, with diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma patients. The unit sees approximately 170 visits per day with 53 rooms and beds. Charting is completed in the Epic system. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting. Candidates must be flexible and open to floating within or near the facility. Travel pairs are allowed, provided they are on different units and disclosed. References may be pending at the time of submission. All pre-start modules are non-billable and must be completed prior to start. Module time should be accounted for separately from orientation. Modules must be conducted online, using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as the browser.
