TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Chesapeake, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend, floating, and holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-volume post-surgical unit serving urology and GYN surgical populations
• Monitor and manage telemetry for assigned patients, including rhythm identification and interval measurements
• Maintain a typical patient ratio of 1:7 throughout assigned shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support post-surgical patient recovery and discharge planning
• Float within the unit as required and fulfill holiday shift obligations during the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent, relevant Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• Proficiency in Epic EMR — no exceptions
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Must pass a telemetry/EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt; no remediation available)
• Must be able to pass standard fit testing; PAPR accommodation is not available

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong telemetry skills including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial and junctional rhythms, and pacing interpretation
