Accounting SpecialistPosition Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role handles a mix of general ledger activities, reconciliations, and transactional accounting while assisting with month-end close and reporting.Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities:Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliationsSupport month-end and year-end close processesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as neededMaintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedulesEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesAssist with audit preparation and respond to documentation requestsSupport process improvements and special accounting projectsQualifications of the Accounting Specialist Role:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1–2 years of accounting or finance experienceWorking knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP softwareAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
