Graphic Designer I

Schedule : Monday - Friday (40 hrs/wk)

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Department : Corp Mrktg and Public Rel - 931 Primary Purpose : Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, presentations, and packaging through a variety of media channels, as assigned. Essential Functions : Under direction, develop visual creative concepts for corporate projects to achieve communication objectives. Design and produce marketing collateral and corporate communications tools, such as logos, brochures, direct mail, invitations, signage, web graphics, advertising, social media, animation, presentations, etc. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within graphic design, branding, and advertising. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works closely with members of team including writers, designers, web developers, project managers, and editing team, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure projects are timely and successful. Works efficiently while juggling a variety of projects, meets all deadlines, and helps communicate project prioritization. Employs high level of service and communication with all stakeholders and team members. Performs a variety of tasks. Adheres to company visual brand and generative AI guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Physical and Other Requirements : Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Communicate: Frequently communicate with others. PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling. Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance. Color Vision: Perception of and ability to distinguish color. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent or better. Preferred Bachelor's Degree or better in Graphic Design or related field. Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications or a related field OR equivalent of four years of work experience in marketing communications Two years of graphics experience in Marketing/Communications related environment Recent experience in creating graphics for websites and online advertising High level of skill using design software including Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and others Preferred Knowledge and experience with all Adobe Creative Cloud programs and Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with design guidelines for a variety of emerging platforms including social media channels, and video/animation Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
