Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Schedule: 12-hour shifts between 7 AM - 10 PM, with every 3rd weekend.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 32

Requirements:

• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
• Hold and maintain a Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required; ATCN preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, spanning all age groups.
• Perform triage according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level process.
• Document patient care using appropriate medical terminology and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate efficient and effective patient care.
• Advocate for patients' needs through effective communication with providers and ancillary services.
• Monitor life support equipment and perform complex treatments, including medication administration and emergency protocols.
