Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute rehabilitation settings, specifically in caring for patients recovering from stroke, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. This role involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement patient care plans for individuals undergoing rehabilitation.


• Utilize specialized equipment including Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand lifts.


• Provide phlebotomy and IV placement as required.


• Coordinate with teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.


• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as necessary based on patient needs.


• Educate patients and families regarding rehabilitation processes and discharge planning.


• Document patient care activities accurately in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in Rehabilitation Nursing or a related field.


• Current New York RN license is required for submission.


• BLS certification is required.


• Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.


• Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN) is a plus but not mandatory.
