Oilfield Shop Technician / Mud Motor Shop Helper

Pay: $14-$18/hr, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30am-6:00pm. When work slows down, the schedule may be 7:00am-5:00pm. Must be able to work Saturdays as needed; Saturdays are typically half days. Must also be open to being on call one week per month.

Job Description:
TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an Oilfield Shop Technician / Mud Motor Shop Helper for a position in the Willis/Conroe area. Must have mechanical ability and experience using basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Will assist with assembling and disassembling MWD, mud motor, and shop components using barrel wrenches, torches, and other hand/power tools. Will also assist with tool inventory, cleaning and organizing the shop, maintaining a safe work area, and supporting other shop duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble MWD, mud motor, and shop components
• Use barrel wrenches, torches, hand tools, and power tools
• Assist with inventory of tools, toolboxes, and shop materials
• Clean, organize, and maintain shop areas
• Use a volt meter and basic computer skills as needed
• Assist with moving, staging, and organizing materials
• Operate a forklift if experienced; forklift training may be provided
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Requirements:

• Mechanical ability required
• Basic hand tool and power tool experience required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Must be able to work Saturdays as needed
• Must be open to being on call one week per month
• Steel toe boots and safety glasses required
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required
• Experience in an MWD shop, mud motor shop, oilfield shop, industrial shop, or mechanical shop is preferred
