Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing school-based services as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational setting. You'll be supporting elementary-aged students (Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade) throughout a full school year schedule, bringing your clinical skills and dedication to each day.
Key Qualifications:
- Current SLPA licensure in California is essential and required
- At least three months of experience working as an SLPA in any setting
- Previous school-based or pediatric caseload experience is a plus
- Spanish bilingual skills are preferred, though not mandatory
- Professional, collaborative approach, with a strong desire to support elementary-age students
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to work effectively within diverse school communities
Role Highlights:
- Manage an elementary caseload (TK-5th grade), providing direct and indirect speech-language services as outlined by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Collaborate closely with a supportive and experienced virtual SLP, ensuring continued mentoring and training
- Participate in IEP meetings, data tracking, and contribute to student progress reports
- Communicate effectively with teachers and families to maximize student success
- You’ll have the opportunity to connect with the supervising SLP before assignment begins, ensuring a great fit and open communication
