Senior Application Security Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 139,800 per year Requirements:

• Hold a current CISSP or an industry-recognized application or cloud development certification
• Be a U.S. citizen
• Have a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrate experience conducting technical security assessments of federal applications, platforms, and environments
• Have cloud security experience gained since September 2024
• Be able to work on site Monday through Friday and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
• Be eligible for a federal Public Trust determination after hire; an existing determination is not required to apply
• Preferred: CSSLP, CASE, or a cloud security certification
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools
• Preferred: Experience coaching developers on secure coding

• Conduct technical security assessments of applications, platforms, and cloud environments
• Perform static and dynamic testing, including SAST and DAST, and review secure code
• Validate findings, guide developers in addressing issues, and track remediation
• Contribute to architecture reviews and security impact analyses
• Ensure custom code is scanned before it enters production

The role is hybrid in Kansas City, Missouri, with on-site work Monday through Friday and an after-hours on-call rotation. Annual pay is $125,000–$139,800.
